2019 Forecaster Frank's NFL Picks
Browns 20 Steelers 16
Strange but true fact, Ben Roethlisberger has more win than any other quarterback at First Energy Stadium. This despite playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and not the Cleveland Browns. Good news for Cleveland, Roethlisberger will not be playing. The Steelers do come in with a four-game winning streak, thanks to their defense. The Cleveland Browns have been a disappointment, but they got their first home win on Sunday. I sense a second win on Thursday.

Ravens 24 Texans 20
This could be a terrific game as Deshaun Watson, and Lamar Jackson are both having excellent breakout seasons. The Baltimore Ravens are red hot, especially after beating the Patriots two weeks ago. The Houston Texans come in off a bye after playing in London two weeks ago. The Ravens get this one at home, and they have proven to be a tough team at home. I would like the Texans chances better if JJ Watt was healthy. That is why I take the Ravens.
Cowboys 31 Lions 10
Last week Drew Strafford was a last-minute scratch for the Detroit Lions, ending a long consecutive games streak. Even if Strafford were healthy, it would be hard to see the Lions beating the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas is coming off a Sunday Night loss to the Vikings, with a game in Foxboro next week. They could get caught looking ahead, but I just expect a bounce-back game from Ezekiel Elliott and a big game from Dak Prescott to take the Cowboys to victory at Ford Field.
Panthers 27 Falcons 20
In every aspect of the game, the Atlanta Falcons played their best game of the season last week, as they shocked the Saints at the Superdome. The Saints are Atlanta's archrival and bring the best out of the Falcons. The Carolina Panthers are also a division rival, and I expected another excellent effort. However, the Panthers off a bad loss in Lambeau Field need a bounce back and get the win.
Jaguars 20 Colts 12
The Indianapolis Colts are in trouble two straight losses and an injured Jacoby Brissett. Brian Hoyer has not played well, and the Colts' chances of winning are limited every game he plays in. Nick Foles is returning for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and I expect to see him at the top of his game. Even if Brissett plays, how will he be limited with a knee injury. This is a game of survival for the Jaguars who will nearly be buried with another divisional loss.
Vikings 34 Broncos 9
Kirk Cousins showed that he could beat a good team as he led the Minnesota Vikings to a Sunday Night win over the Cowboys on the road. Now back home, he has a more suited opponent, as the Vikings face the struggling Denver Broncos. The Broncos quarterback situation is a mess with Joe Flacco hurting. It is hard to imagine that Brandon Allen getting a second win, especially on the road in Minnesota.
Bills 17 Dolphins 13
The Miami Dolphins have not figured out tanking, as they have won two straight games. The plan of tanking went out the window when Josh Rosen was benched as Ryan Fitzpatrick often finds a way to win a few games by accident. The Buffalo Bills are starting to show their warts as they lost to the Browns last week. The Bills defense has been strong, but the offense has been a problem all season. The Bills should win this game, but they will sweat it out the end.
Saints 23 Buccaneers 20
The New Orleans Saints came in off their bye week flat and suffered a loss to the one-win Falcons at home. The Saints before that game have been terrific playing well on both offense and defense. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got a solid win last week against the Cardinals but are still far out of the race at 3-6. A loss would spell doom from Tampa. The Saints will win this game, but the Buccaneers will keep it close throughout.
Jets 31 Redskins 17
Adam Gase's job is safe, the New York Jets are assured of being a dumpster fire for years to come. The Jets won the Waste Management New York Bowl last week, beating the Giants behind a spectacular effort from Jamal Adams. The Jets should be able to get a second straight win, as the Washington Redskins are an even great disaster than the Jets. Coming off a bye, the Redskins have announced Dwayne Haskins will start the rest of the season.
49ers 27 Cardinals 17
The San Francisco 49ers come in off their first loss of the season. The Niners battled the Seahawks for 70 minutes, losing a back and forth battle in overtime. These teams played just two weeks ago, with the Niners hold off Arizona in the desert 28-25. The Cardinals have shown improvement with Kyler Murray, but they don't have the skills yet to win games. Murray should have another solid game, but the 49ers have too many weapons and will get the win.
Raiders 31 Bengals 13
The Oakland Raiders have been among the biggest surprises in the NFL at 5-4. The Cincinnati Bengals, meanwhile, have been a disaster as the NFL's last winless team at 0-9. There is nothing that Bengals do well. Their defense is awful, and Andy Dalton has been benched for Ryan Lindley. Based on Lindley's first game, the Bengals are in a perfect position to tank away the rest of the season as they are by far the worst team in the NFL.
Patriots 30 Eagles 24
When last the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles met, the Lombardi Trophy was on the line, as the Eagles stunned the Patriots in Super Bowl LII. This one has a Super Bowl feel, as both teams come in off of a bye week. The big difference between the two teams is Carson Wentz will be under center for the Eagles. The Patriots are coming off a loss and will bring their best effort. Look for Patriots to get the win.
Rams 20 Bears 16
Two underwhelming disappointing teams meet on Sunday Night Football. Both teas struggles have centered on offense, as Mitch Trubisky has been awful for the Chicago Bears, while the Los Angeles Rams have carried over their offense struggles from Super Bowl LIII. Both teams also have strong defensive units, with Khalil Mack leading the way for the Bears and Aaron Donald for the Rams. The Rams have the home field edge and should get the win.

Chiefs 37 Chargers 27
Down Mexico way, the Los Angeles Chargers will play in front of an engaged home crowd as they go down to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Mexico City. After the cancelation of last year's game in Mexico City, fans will now get to Patrick Mahomes at his best. A week after returning and passing for over 400 yards, Mahomes should have a big game. The Chargers should also put up points against the questionable Kansas City defense. In the end, Phillip Rivers will have a costly interception as the Chargers fall short again.
