2006 4-Caster Frank's NFL Picks
WEEK 7
Steelers 24 Falcons 13
The Steelers have a defense capable of punishing a quarterback, and when they lay their first hard shot on Michael Vick, the Falcons QB will go into his usual shell as the Steelers get back to .500 with a big road win.

+5½
Patriots 24 Bills 10
The Bills gave the Patriots all they could handle in Foxboro in Week 1 but came up short, now with the Patriots coming off the bye week they hope they can actually win at home. However, the Patriots off the bye week means they had more time to prepare which means the Bills don't stand a chance.

Panthers 24 Bengals 20
After a solid 3-0 start the Bengals are suddenly in a tailspin, while the Panthers are getting better each week. Look for the Panthers to stay hot as they win another close game on the road, and start to look like Super Bowl Contenders.

-5½
Colts 38 Redskins 17
Last week the skins were smoked by the winless Titans at home, do they stand a chance against the unbeaten Colts on the road? The Redskins last year were 0-4 against the AFC, look for the AFC losses to continue to mount as the Colts win easily.

Chargers 27 Chiefs 17
The Chargers don't usually win in Kansas City as the Chiefs traditionally have an outstanding home record, but the Chiefs without Trent Green are not as good as they usually are and the Chargers have one of the top defenses in the NFL. Look for a key turnover to be the difference in this one.

-2½
Dolphins 24 Packers 20
Both teams have just one win and are in the midst of terribly disappointing seasons. Last week Joey Harrington played well in a loss for the Dolphins, while it's been two years since Brett Favre played well for the Packers expect that trend to continue.

Last Week: 8-5 .615
Season Total: 44-43 .506
Jets 24 Lions 10
The Tigers are in the World Series the Lions are in a Series of losing seasons; look for nobody in Detroit to even know this game is on against the backdrop of the Series. Look for the Jets to take flight as the Lions are just awful, while the Jets have played well most of the season.

-7
Jaguars 27 Texans 10
When the Jaguars last took the field two weeks ago they were thumping the Jets 41-0, while the Texans last week got run over by the Cowboys. Things won't be much different this time around as the Jags win going away.

-3½
Eagles 24 Buccaneers 20
Already focusing beyond this year the Buccaneers traded away Anthony McFarland for a second round pick. The Eagles meanwhile will be looking to rebound off a tough loss. Look for the game to be close but the Eagles will win.

Broncos 13 Browns 3
The Broncos love to win 13-3, because their top rated defense will continue to dominate as their underachieving offense continues to sputter. Look for those one to follow the last two Bronco wins that were 13-3 finals.

-9½
Raiders 24 Cardinals 23
The Raiders find a way to win a game, play the Arizona Cardinals. Last week the Cards showed that no lead is safe as their collapsed like a house of Cards for the second straight week in the 4th Quarter, this week they will do it again against the winless Raiders.

-5
Seahawks  27 Vikings 17
The Seahawks are back home after a great win on the road against the Rams, and thanks to their 12th man they avoid the let down by pulling away in the 4th Quarter after struggling through the first 3 quarters.

Cowboys 24 Giants 21
The Cowboys seem to be all humming the same tune these days as TO is actually happy after scoring 3 TDs. Look for the Cowboys to have the winning note again this week as the edge the Giants in a close hard fought game that could go to overtime.
