A Season On The Brink

Hits: 0

On Saturday evening at Yankee Stadium, New York looked to spark their ALCS Series with the Astros in an 0-2 hole. The Yankees would find no life as they succumbed to Cristian Javier’s 5.1 innings pitched of lights out baseball, and a consistent offensive prowess that left New York stunned.

Houston took complete control of the series as they shut out the Yankees 5-0. Alex Bregman continued his hot streak providing two more hits, and former Red Sox catch, Christian Vazquez picked off Yankee Harrison Bader on a throw to second, and provided two RBI.

The Yankees only accumulated three hits on the night, and now find themselves 1 game away from being swept at home. With their season on the line, they’ll turn to All-Star, Nestor Cortes, while the Astros will give the ball to Lance McCullers Jr. Game 4’s first-pitch is set for 7:07pm ET.
