A Smartly Played Game 2
On Thursday night a pivotal Game 2 was played at FTX Arena in Miami. The Boston Celtics welcomed back Marcus Smart and Al Horford into the rotation, and it paid dividends as the Celtics beat the Heat 127-102.
Something had to give as Boston was yet to lose 2 games in a row in the playoffs, and Miami hadn’t lost a home game in the postseason as well.
Smart’s addition made the difference as he’s the first Celtic to accumulate at least 20 pts, 10 assists, and 3 steals since Rajon Rondo over a decade ago.
Miami’s offensive rhythm was stymied over the course of the game, and now the series truly begins at 1-1.
The Heat will have an opportunity for retribution on Saturday in Game 3 at the TD Garden.
