An AFC East Log Jam

Three of Four AFC East teams were in action on Sunday. Two of which squared off against each other in Foxboro, New England. In a game the void of offense, both team’s defenses showed to be above average, and borderline elite.

There were no offensive touchdowns scored in the game. Moreover, the only touchdown scored, was the game winning TD, by rookie Patriot, Marcus Jones, who took an 84 yard punt back to the house late in the 4th quarter, leaving only 5 seconds left on the clock.

Jones’ heroic return is the 2nd latest punt return for a TD since 2010. In a game that was on a knife’s edge, both New England and New York are now 6-4, which is only good enough for 3rd and 4th within the AFC East. The Dolphins, at 7-3 are currently on top of the division due to owning tie-breakers on the Buffalo Bills.

The Pats will face a different type of challenge next as they’ll travel to Minnesota for a Thanksgiving night game against the 8-2 Vikings.
