Back on the Court
In March, as the COVID pandemic was beginning to take hold, the NBA was the first league to shut down, creating a dominion effect that soon stopped everything for four months. On Thursday, the NBA got back in action with the first two games inside the bubble in Orlando. A total of 22 teams are in Orlando playing an eight-game schedule to finish the regular season for playoff seeding. Both games played on Thursday were thrillers that went down to the wire as the Utah Jazz defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 106-104. In the nightcap, the Los Angeles Lakers edged the Los Angels Clippers 103-101. LeBron James scored the winning basket with 12.3 seconds left as Paul George missed a three at the buzzer.
