Baltimore Bests Tampa By Mancini’s Inside Job
On Thursday, the surprising Baltimore Orioles beat their division foe in the Tampa Bay Rays by a score of 3-0. In what could potentially be Trey Mancini’s last game as an O, he capped off an improbable inside the park homerun.
Jordan Lyles quieted the Rays bats as he pitched 5.2 innings of shutout baseball. Tampa managed to scatter 4 hits in total, but were unable to find enough impetus to score a solitary run.
The Camden Yards faithful gave Mancini a standing ovation as it remains to be seen whether they’ll be buyers or sellers before the trade deadline. Baltimore will not head to Cincinnati to begin a 3 game series with the Reds.
