Buckeyes Bump Notre Dame Down

Saturday brought a full slate of college football games back into the American sports fan’s life. A coveted matchup with number 5, Notre Dame traveling to the Horseshoe to challenge number 2, Ohio St. took center stage on prime time.
In what was a defensive struggle throughout, the Buckeyes beat the Fighting Irish, 21-10. Notre Dame led 10-7 going into halftime somewhat stifling OSU’s QB, C.J. Stroud. However, Stroud would bounce back in the 3rd quarter throwing a touchdown to Xavier Johnson, and taking the lead.
Notre Dame’s offense was left ineffective throughout, which culminated in 5 consecutive punts in the second half. ND will have opportunities to put themselves back into the playoff conversation, but for now, the #2 Buckeyes march on, eyeing an undefeated record.
