Colorado Rocks St. Louis
Miles Mikolas is an All-Star this season, but had a night to forget at Coors Field on Tuesday. The right handed pitcher allowed 14 hits and 10 runs in only 2.2 innings pitched.
Ryan McMahon hit a 495ft homer, the longest homerun by a Rockies player at Coors Field. C.J. Cron also homered and doubled, bringing in 5 RBI on the night.
The loss breaks the Cardinals 7 game win streak, and drops their NL Central lead to just one game as the Brewers are hot on their tail.
The last place Rockies will enjoy this win, but in a 162 game season, there isn’t much time to celebrate, as the series continues Wednesday night. Colorado will attempt to string back to back good performances together, as Kyle Freeland will take the ball for the home team, while Jose Quintana will attempt to right the ship for St. Louis.
