Dallas Shrinks Giants On Monday Night

On Monday night the Dallas Cowboys traveled to East Rutherford, NJ to take on the 2-0 New York Giants. Feeling large and in charge with an opportunity to go 3-0 for the first time since 2009, New York came into the game full of confidence.

However, the Cowboys’ backup QB, Cooper Rush has provided a steady hand in relief of Dak Prescott. A hand that completed 21 or 31 passed with no interceptions, and a touchdown to CeeDee Lamb, ultimately giving Dallas the 23-16 win.

In a game that saw New York’s Daniel Jones constantly scrambling, Dallas’ defense controlled the tempo of the game, sacking Jones 5 times, and intercepting him as well once, by the All-Pro corner, Trevon Diggs. Both teams now stand at 2-1, and sit behind the Eagles within the division. As early as it is, neither teams’s story has fully been written thus far this season, but Monday night as a nice reminder of how competitive the NFC East can be.
