Eagles Fly High On Monday Night

At Lincoln Financial Field, on Monday Night Football, two 1-0 NFC teams with aspirations of going deep into the playoffs squared off. In what was a one sided affair virtually the whole day through, Jalen Hurts led the Egales to a 24-7 victory.

The two-way talent out of Alabama put his legs, and arm on display in the first half as he ran for a 26 year TD, and threw a 53-yard TD pass to Quez Watkins. Kirk Cousins and the Vikings managed to put up 7 points in the first half, but seemingly bowed out of the contest. Cousins threw two interceptions on the night, and was never able to find a rhythm in the game.

The Eagles defense was able to control Cousins’ favorite receiver, Justin Jefferson, holding Minnesota to no points in the second half.  In fact, neither team scored in the 2nd half of the game, but the Eagles will take their 24 1st-half points as they remain a perfect 2-0 into the season.
