In what has been a fairly mediocre AL Central, the Cleveland Guardians have begun to pull away from the White Sox and Twins as they won their 6th straight game Wednesday night.

José Ramírez hit a 2-run homer in the 8th inning at home against the Angels. The loss ensures Los Angeles will finish below .500 for the whopping 7th straight year. As for the Guardians, they are now 11 games above .500, their highest mark since 2020.

Cal Quantrill has been a reliable arm for Cleveland, and he provided 7 innings in the game. The win have given the Guardians a 5 game lead over the aforementioned White Sox and Twins. Over the span of the next 8 days Cleveland will only play Chicago and Minnesota. This next week will surely spell the destiny of the AL Central.
