With their coach Claude Julien back in Montreal recovering from a heart procedure, the Montreal Canadiens came out flying in Game 2 and crushed the Philadelphia Flyers 5-0, evening up the series at a game apiece. Julien needed a stint placed to clear a blockage in his heart and will likely miss the remainder of the first-round series. Assistant coach Kirk Muller took over as the Canadiens dominated the Flyers from the first puck drop. Tomas Tatar scored 62 seconds into the game, and 85 seconds into the second period as part of a five-goal onslaught of Philadelphia. Carey Price was perfect in net, stopping all 30 shots.
