Jersey Chases Blues Away

On Sunday the New Jersey Devils held off a late comeback by the St. Louis Blues.  In a game that saw the Devils shutout St. Louis for the first two periods, the tables turned in the third.

In the culminating period, St. Louis finally got on the score sheet 2 minutes in, and tied the game 5 minutes into the third.  The 2-2 stalemate headed to OT, where New Jersey standout, Dougie Hamilton netted for the home team.

It was Hamilton’s 9th goal of the year.  The Devils are now 20-31-5, and are also the youngest team in the NHL.  In moments, they’ve shown that the future is potentially bright for the boys from Jersey.
