One day into the NBA bubble restart, the league appears to have formulated a plan for success. On Saturday, the NHL begins their expanded restart in the hub cities of Toronto and Edmonton. Meanwhile, MLB appears to be heading for disaster as teams continue to have to delay games, while commissioner Rob Manfred’s lack of leadership has created a dangerous void. On Friday, Manfred sent notice if teams don’t do a better job avoiding COVID, he could shut down the league again as early as Monday. From his handling of baseball’s lengthy games to the Astros cheating scandal, the commissioner has shown nothing but incompetent and cowardliness.
