Magical Performance

The Orlando Magic walked into Staples Center and stunned the Los Angeles Lakers 119-118, ending the Lakers’ nine-game winning streak. It was a night of spectacular dunks for Aaron Gordon, while Markelle Fultz put up a triple-double for Orlando, scoring 21 points with 11 rebounds and ten assists. Fultz gave it everything in the win, hitting the final basket and walking off the floor with a cramp. Despite the loss, the Lakers stand 33-8 at the midway point of the season, matching the team’s best 41-game record. Every time previously the Lakers have been 33-8, they won an NBA Championship. Orlando meanwhile will be back at Staples Center on Thursday to take on the Los Angeles Clippers. They stand at 20-21 after the win.
