Mavs Rise Over Suns

On Thursday night two teams that’ve underachieved a bit this season squared off at the Footprint Center. In a game that saw one of the best players in the league, Luka Doncic exit early with an injury, his teammate, Spencer Dinwiddie stepped up in a big way. Dinwiddie had a season high 36 points, as the Mavs won a big road game, 99-95.

The Suns have recently welcomed back Cam Johnson and future Hall of Famer, Chris Paul to the lineup, which did result in a 4 game winning streak, but their overall record remains mediocre at 25-25. DeAndre Ayton put up 19 points and 20 rebounds in the game, but only shot 6 of 20 from the field.

With Doncic possibly sidelined for the foreseeable future, the Mavs squad depth will be tested immediately, as they’ll travel to Utah to take on the Jazz, Saturday night.
