On Their Heels

There is a hush surrounding Chapel Hill, as the North Carolina Tar Heels are scuffling in the early part of their ACC schedule. A true blue contended to win the NCAA Tournament every season; the Heels have not risen above mediocrity in 2020. These struggles have caused concern for their coach Roy Williams, who recently tied mentor Dean Smith for fourth all-time in wins in the NCAA Division Men’s Basketball. Williams commented that this is the least talented team that he has ever coached. Those concerns were not erased Wednesday Night, as Carolina lost to Pittsburgh at home 73-65, blowing a 14-point lead in the process. It was the seventh loss in the last ten games for North Carolina, who sits at 8-7 on the season and 1-3 in ACC play.
