On Sunday Major League Baseball held it’s Little League Classic between two AL East teams. Jorge Mateo’s double that provided 3 runs essentially beat the battered Red Sox, and kept Baltimore in the hunt for a Wild Card spot.

At 63-58, the Orioles remains just 2.5 games back from the last Wild Card spot. The overachieving upstart O’s refuse to go quietly into the night, even after they were sellers at the trade deadline. Cionel Perez grabbed the win in relief, pitching one inning and allowing no runs.
