Perfect From The Line

On Tuesday night at FTX Arena, the Miami Heat made NBA history as they went a perfect 40-40 from the free throw line. The last one being the most important, and Jimmy Butler completed a 3-point play, to seal the game for the Heat, as they beat the Thunder, 112-111.

Miami has underachieved this season with an overall record of 20-22, but found a way to win the game without 6 injured players. Center, Dewayne Dedmon was also ejected after seemingly disagreeing with head coach Erik Spoelstra as well. Miami will hope their topsy-turvy season will straighten out after this underdog win, but time will tell that story as they’ll welcome the Bucks to their home court on Thursday night.

As for the Thunder, the loss broke a 2 game winning streak for the young, and hopefully up and coming squad. They’ll continue their east coast road trip on Thursday night, as they’ll take on the red hot 76ers in Philadelphia.
