Spur’s Spark Fizzles Out
On Tuesday night the Warriors traveled to San Antonio after beating the Rockets. Golden State had limited player availability due to injury and rest. The likes of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green did not play.
The Spurs took advantage early on behind guard Dejounte Murray, who had 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. The game seemed all but over heading into the 4th quarter as San Antonio held a 17 point lead. However, Jordan Poole had other ideas.
Poole had 31 points, and a 3 pointer with 17.9 seconds left to take the lead late. Golden State held the home team to only 16 total points in the culminating quarter. The loss will be challenging for San Antonio to overcome, as they went into the game as betting favorites. However, they will get a chance at redemption on Thursday, as the aforementioned Rockets come to town.
