Target Center Dust Up

On Friday night the young, and possibly up and coming Orlando Magic beat the sputtering T-Wolves, by a score of 127-120. The story of the matchup was a bench clearing dust up between Minnesota’s Austin Rivers, and Magic big man Mo Bamba.

For the second straight night, after Thursday’s coming together between Donovan Mitchell and Aaron Brooks, tempers flared on the hard court. As the NHL’s All-Star Weekend commences, it’s a reminder that an 82 game regular season can ware on players, particularly during the winter.

With five players ejected from the game, it was Orlando’s bench that carried the weight in the game. Cole Anthony and Moritz Wagner combined for 39 points to grab the win. The Wolves has come into the game fairly hot, even without Karl Anthony-Towns, but were stymied on the night.

Suspensions and fines are yet to be announced, but there’ll be a short turnaround for Minnesota, as they welcome the Western Conference’s 1 seed, in the Nuggets, to the Target Center on Sunday.
