The Tipping Point

Hits: 0

On Tuesday night the World Series shifted gears to Citizens Bank Park, a place the Phillies have relied on through the postseason, as their rawkus crowd has provided an extra spark for their ball club. The Astros came into the game 3-0 on the road in the postseason, but now they’re 3-1, as Lance McCullers Jr. gave up a barrage of home runs to Philly hitters.

McCullers may’ve been tipping his pitches, and Bryce Harper took him deep in 1st inning, which then spiraled into 4 more long balls for Philadelphia.

The reliable and calm demeanor of Ranger Suarez gave the Phillies 5 shutout innings, as Houston never got on the scoreboard. The win has now set up a pivotal Game 4, as the NL East team has an opportunity to take a commanding 3-1 series lead. The Astros will feel confident that right-hander Cristian Javier will be able to get them back to level in the series, while the Phillies will hope Aaron Nola can continue to look lights out.
