On Friday night, two historic NBA franchises that are currently down on their luck squared off in Los Angeles. It’s been a tumultuous season thus far for the Lakers, and now without LeBron James due to injury any win by any means will be a gift, and that’s exactly that they got last night, as the Lakers beat the Pistons 181-121.

The win is Los Angeles’ second straight, improving their record to 4-10 overall. Anthony Davis had 38 points and 16 rebounds for the home team. Alec Burkes had 23 points for Detroit in the loss. It’s the underachieving Pistons team 6th straight loss as they find themselves at the bottom of the Central Division.

As for Los Angeles, they’ll look to push the win streak to 3 games on at home against San Antonio on Sunday.
