Wings Clipped By Coyotes

On Tuesday night the Arizona Coyotes traveled to Little Caesar’s Arena, and hit their first three game winning streak of the season. The Coyotes pummeled the Red Wings 9-2 on the night, behind Nick Schmaltz’s two goals and two assist night.  It’s the second game in a row that Arizona has scored at least 8 goals in a game. While their season hasn’t been great in the Win’s column, this recent spell of play will provide Arizona with hope for the future.

As for the Red Wings, this loss will surely come back to haunt them in their quest to make the playoffs.  Detroit will be back in action Thursday at home against the Wild. They currently sit in 10th place within the Eastern Conference, and have done themselves no favors when it comes to making a late season push.
