An All-Star game to benefit the family of Howie Morenz is played at the Montreal Forum, with the players from the Montreal Canadiens and Montreal Maroons taking on a team of All-Stars composed of players from the six other teams in the NHL. The NHL stars would beat the Montreal team 6-5. Morenz, a player with the Canadiens, died on March 8th after complications from an on-ice injury.
