At the Nissan LAt the Nissan Los Angeles Open, a 16-year-old Tiger Woods makes his first appearance on the PGA Tour. Tiger Woods won the U.S. Junior Amatuer Champion.  Tiger Woods was a golf prodigy from an early age, appearing on television shows with his golf clubs before he even attended kindergarten. Tiger Woods would miss the cut by six strokes, shooting a six-over-par 147 and missing the cut by six strokes at the Riviera Country Club.
