With a three-run home run in the first inning, Tim Raines of the Montreal Expos notches his 70th RBI of the season. Having previously reached 70 steals, Raines becomes the first player to have 70 RBI and 70 stolen bases since Ty Cobb in 1915. Raines would go 3-for-4 missing the cycle by a double, with four RBI and adding his 86th stolen base as the Expos pound the St. Louis Cardinals 10-4 at Busch Stadium. Tim Raines would finish the season with 71 RBI and a league best 90 steals.
