The Ravens are reeling and are in danger of totally losing their season, and thus this is a must win to keep any playoff hope alive. Look for this one to be a defensive battle as neither team has a good offense. However in the end the Ravens defense will make the big play as they barely beat Browns at home.
Perhaps Michael Ray Richardson said it best when it comes to the 2005 Vikings, “The Ship Be Sinking.” Well thanks to cruise director Fred Smoot at least they should have fun as they go under. Look for the Bears to win big against the reeling Vikings, who will soon be starting in a series of DVDs from the makers of “Girls Gone Wild.”
Last week the Cowboys trounced the Eagles who swept them last year, this week they get to do the same against the Giants. The Giants have historically been bad off their bye week. Look for Eli Manning to struggle as the Cowboys and Drew Bledsoe get off to a fast start again.
H-A-double R-ING-TON spells major bust. The Lions have a solid RB 3 solid young WR, and a QB who the team was built around. However in his 4th year Joey Harrington has yet to show any improvement, in fact he downright stinks as the Lions are lucky to be 2-2 and in the awful NFC North, but this week they are not facing a team from the North and thus they lose.
After two bad losses before their bye week, the rejuvenated Chiefs return with a big win against the Redskins at home. With RB Priest Holmes having a big game, while the Chiefs defense takes out their frustrations on Mark Brunnell leaving the Redskins defense exposed due to being on the field too long.
The Saints who have seen their home washed away by Hurricane Katrina are on the edge of season their plunge off the cliff after a 49-point loss to the Packers that saw Deuce McAllister suffer a season ending knee injury. Now facing the Falcons at “home” things won’t get any easier as the Falcons coming off a last second loss rebound with an easy win.
Coming off a tough Monday Night win in San Diego the Steelers are limping home with QB Ben Roethlisberger a big question mark after hyperextending his knee on the final series. Even if Big Ben does play how effective can he be against the Jaguars solid defense? Look for the Jags to get the road upset.
Coming off their first loss against the Jets the Buccaneers will be looking to rebound along with taking some Sunshine State Pride as they face the Dolphins. Look for Ricky Williams to get the ball allot in his return, but not to get very far as the Bucs defense will stop the Dolphins all day and get the home win.
After a 4-0 start the Bengals hit their first bump in the road with a loss to the Jaguars. Look for them to bounce back this week as they face the Titans. Look for big days from Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson against the Titans defense who will be exposed again as they were in an earlier loss to the Rams.
The Bills got back on track last week, as the team determined QB J.P. Losman was a lost cause as he was benched in favor of Kelly Holcomb, while the Jets ended their tailspin, with the return of Vinny Testeverde. Look for both teams to take split from here as the Bills continue their rebound, while the Jets fall continues as 42-year Vinny is under pressure
The Broncos have been tough so far especially at home and with the defending champions coming in they have an excellent opportunity to establish themselves as a legitimate contender. Look for Tom Brady and he beat up Patriots to have trouble in the thin air as the Broncos win a close one.
Many of years did a strong Raiders team beat up upon a week Chargers team, now turnabout is fair play as the Chargers rebound off a tough Monday Night loss by pounding the Raiders on the road as LaDanlian Tomlinson has a big game against the Raiders porous defense.
Texans QB David Carr has been sacked 27 times in 4 games. That averages out to 6.75 per game and a little less than 1 sack per quarter. If this continues Coach Dom Capers will be the one getting sacked. Look for another rough week from Carr, as the Seahawks win easily in primetime.
The Rams defense is as bad as can be as two weeks ago they were torched by 45 points from Eli Manning, now big brother Peyton does him 3 better as the Rams, playing without a head coach are led to slaughter on Monday Night, as the Colts win going away, with their defense also shutting down the Rams along the way.
