Second Round

Senators in 7

After beating the Leafs in the 2nd longest playoff series in NHL history the Flyers may need a game or two to recover. However, they wont bow out against the Senators like last year when they scored just 2 goals. Look for this one to go 7 too, but the Senators will be victorious again.

Stars in 5

A week off for the Mighty Ducks after shocking Red Wings can’t help. When you have a hot goalie you need to continue to play steadily. The Stars however, got off to a slow start and finished strong and should be able to continue the momentum on to the Conference Finals.

Devils in 5

The Lightning used speed to get past the Capitals, winning 4 straight after losing the first 2. However, now they are facing the Devils who are playoff tested and tough. The size of the Devils should be able to stop the Lightning speed as Martin Brodeur gets 2 shutouts in a short 5 game series.

Canucks in 7

In a battle of 2 teams that battled back from a 3-1 deficit in the first round look for the Canucks who were at the top of the Western Conference all season to emerge victorious. However, it won’t be easy facing a Wild team playing with houses money as they send the series to a 7th game.
