Sports Bettor Jon Price Looks at WEEK 8 NFL TRENDS
It’s all about the statistics if you want to be successful in accurately picking who’s going to win on Sunday. Trends are a great way to give you an idea of who has the advantage according to sports betting legend Jon Price of Sportsinformationtraders.com who’s providing us with this weeks betting trends across the board.
Starting with the worst team the Miami Dolphins playing the Big Benless Pittsburgh Steelers. While they covered last week against the Bills they had a chance and had their second lead all season long. They’re 2-7 against the spread and the Steelers have gone under 9 out of the last 4 going back to last season. Steelers and under is the trend here.
Moving onto middle America for the Washington Redskins who put up an astonishing 0 points last weekend in the rain play the Minnesota Vikings. Being 1-5 against the spread where as Mike Zimmer is 3-0 straight up at home. Vikings straight up parlayed with an under bet is the way the trends are leaning.
The New York Giants play the Detroit Lions. Believe it or not the Giants are 7-3 when on the road as an underdog. Some like the Giants and the over but we see this as a trap game so be weary and stay away.
Tampa Bay Bucs vs Tennessee Titans – The Bucs are 3-5-3 against the spread in their last 11 away games. Titans are even worse at 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games. If you have to play this game take the Bucs ATS but not a game we would recommend you bet on this weekend.
The Los Angeles Chargers vs. the Chicago Bears where QB Philip Rivers is an impressive 12-4-1 Against the Spread on road games. Bears who started off strong looked weak last weekend and are under 10-3 in their last 13 games. Tough to say Chargers and unders when Wadle and Silvy on ESPN Love promoting Sports Information Traders but if we’re talking trends this is what it says.
Seattle Seahawks vs the Atlanta Falcons where the road team is covering every single time against the Seahawks. Now the good news is it’s only 3 games of data. Seahawks have covered 8 of the last 9 on the road and the Falcons are a paltry 1-6 against the spread.
Final trend to look at this weekend is the Philadelphia eagles vs the Buffalo Bills. Doug Pederson is not looking very hot and that embarrassing almost loss to the horrible Miami Dolphins makes you wonder how they only have 1 loss so far this season. The Bills have hit the under 5 out of 6 times this season and are 7-2 since last season. The Eagles are over rated and oddsmakers gave them 10 wins on the season totals which if they lose today will feel like a near impossible mark for them to hit especially given the rigid schedule that remains for the 2018 Super Bowl champs.
