Anderson’s Five Innings Gives Braves Series Lead
Clifton Park, NY native Ian Anderson provided the Atlanta Braves the starting pitching performance they required in Game 3 of the World Series. Anderson pitched 5 no-hit innings for the home team on Friday night, and kept Houston’s bats quiet.
3rd baseman Austin Riley knocked in the game’s 1st RBI for the Braves in the 3rd inning, while catcher Travis d’Arnaud hit a solo homer in the 8th to tack on an insurance run for Atlanta. The Braves now take a 2-1 series lead, and will surely need to rely on their bullpen in game 4 Saturday night for an opportunity to take a commanding 3-1 series lead.
