Memphis Makes History Wednesday Night
On Wednesday night the Memphis Grizzlies made history as they clinched their first division title in franchise history. The Tennessee based team did so without their star playmaker, Ja Morant who’s been sidelined with a knee injury.
The Spurs were riding high as they were looking for their 5th straight win, but were just edged out by the gritty home team, 112-111. Guard, Tyus Jones had 25 points for Memphis, as they not only clinched the division, but have also secured the 2 seed in the Western Conference.
Memphis has shown their roster depth without Morant, as they are now an impression 19-2 in games without the All-Star guard. The Grizzlies will welcome the West’s 1 seed on Friday night as the Suns will come to FedEx Forum in what should be an excellent game, and potential playoff series preview.
