New York Nips Miami, Wins 5th Straight

On Saturday two NL East teams headed in different directions continued their series at LoanDepot Park. Behind veteran, Carlos Carrasco, the Mets blanked the Marlins by a score of 4-0.

Carrasco went 7.2 innings earning his 11th win of the season, and his 100th of his career. Francisco Lindor provided the power at the plate with three hits, one of which was his 17th homer of the season.

New York has now won their 5th straight, and remain 3 games up on Atlanta in the division. The Mets and the Marlins will wrap up their series on Sunday, as New York goes for the sweep. Taijuan Walker is set to start for the away team, and Pablo Lopez will take the ball for Miami
