Scheffler has to be featured on our list of favorites; after all, he is the best-ranked golfer in the world. He won the Masters Tournament last year and came in second at the U.S. Open. This year, he finished in second place in the PGA Tournament, and now he’s getting ready for the Open Championship. Scheffler and Mcllroy are likely to fight for this year’s title.
Cameron Smith is not a likely favorite, but he is the defending champion. He’s currently in 9th place on the official World Golf Rankings, but seeing as he managed to win last year, he might aim for two consecutive titles and emerge victorious, even though he’s the underdog.
