2004 ALDS & NLDS

Twins in 4
The key to the postseason is pitching and the edge in pitching is clearly to the Twins, with Johan Santana the best pitcher in the AL pitching twice all the Twins need to do is find another win, and with the Yankees pitching staff scrambled that may not be too hard. The Yankees offense could be explosive, but unless they get a good start from their starters they will not win and thus the Twins will take the series in 4 games.

Angels in 4
Nobody in the AL is hotter then the Angels and with Vladimir Guerrero entering the spotlight for the first time he grabs the spotlight and runs with a big series as the Angels batter the Red Sox with relative ease, as the anticipated ALCS rematch between the Yankees and Red Sox is blown completely off the tracks as the Angels complete the ALDS full upsets by flooding the Sox in 4 games.

Cardinals in 4
After dominating the NL all season the Cardinals have been on cruise control through out September. However now that have playoffs started they should have no problem getting back in overdrive as they out match the Dodgers in almost every way except for Eric Gagne out of the pen. However, if the Cardinals starting pitching and spectacular offense do the job Gagne will not get a chance, and the Cardinals will advance to the NLCS with ease.

Astros in 4
Nobody in all of baseball is hotter then the Astros who won 36 of their last 46 to earn the Wild Card spot. However in the past, come playoff time the Astros have fallen having never won a playoff series in 7 appearances, including 3 losses to the Braves. However they never had Roger Clemens before and this time the Astros will finally get into the next round as they beat the Braves who are not as good as they have been in the past in 4 games.
