2005 ALCS & NLCS

White Sox in 5
In beating the Yankees the Angels exhausted their entire pitching staff Bartolo Colon is hurt and will enter the ALCS a big question mark, while Jarrod Washburn is suffering flu like symptoms, meanwhile the White Sox rolled over the defending champion Red Sox like they were not there winning 3 straight. The trend will continue in the ALCS as the White Sox bring the Fall Classic back to the Southside of Chicago for the first time in 46 years. Look for starting pitching to be the difference with Jose Contreras, winning twice and winning the ALCS MVP, further angering George Steinbrenner who will be cleaning house and firing GM Brian Cashman.

Cardinals in 6
The Astros have the pitching which is often the key, but their line up has too many soft spots and the Cardinals pitching is good in its own right. Look for allot of close games that go down to the wire as this series could hinge on a big hit here or a big hit there. However in the Astros line up there just is not as many players to deliver that big hit as their on the Cardinals and that’s where this series will be decided look for a big series from Albert Pujols, and Chris Carpenter as the Cardinals fly off to the World Series for the second straight year at the expense of the Astros, as Carpenter nails down the NLCS with 2 big wins.
